This Is Not A Love Song

One of the cats has been a puking machine this morning. Those of you in the know have an idea how repulsive this particular auditory invasion is…and that it’s one of the worst things to wake up to. Lucky for me she has serenaded me such at least three times thus far. I haven’t yet been able to stomach the thought of breakfast because of it. The little man, however, remains unphased…aside from ordering me to clean up the cat’s mess as quickly as it’s created. I exist only to serve. In happier news, I’m reading a brilliant book…another from Eric S. Nylund. I’ve just started reading his work this year, but he’s quickly become one of my favorite authors. Like his other works, “Pawn’s Dream” is quite the page turner. Oddly enough, there exists in it a plot line eerily similar to one in the half-finished novel I’ve been working on. It’s understandable that what one reads influences what one writes…apparently the same is true of what one hasn’t yet read.
