That Is The Tempo

We had a mighty fine, mostly mellow weekend. Friday we made a late afternoon Children’s Museum visit, followed by a run to the co-op. After dinner we watched a copy of Big, borrowed from the library. It’s not the finest of films, but it’s family-friendly…and free is good. Saturday we enjoyed a lovely potluck over at our friends’ house. The little man was overjoyed to see many of his favorite people there, and I was too. I completely spaced, though. Forgot to take photos of the delectable homemade sushi made by our hosts…nor did we remember to pop outside to check out the lunar eclipse. Doh. We did stay up past our bedtimes though, so today was slow and low. Late morning we met up with the ladies at one of the area coffeehouses. The little man proceeded to pick the ickiest of their toys to play with. Don’t get me wrong, I very much appreciate child-friendly businesses who stock toys to keep the wee ones busy…but why does my boy have to go for the creepy clown toys, and the weird little pear-shaped people, who seem to be armless but endowed with bulging crotches? Another of life’s little mysteries I guess.
