So. As I mentioned I have some time to kill before I can receive medical attention…thanks to our jackass governor and right-wing legislators. But before all the bad news, this weekend was going to be a busy one. I’m a person who’d rather be out and about instead of dwelling on my problems, and not much moping can be done properly with the little man around (that boy gives the best hugs). I don’t want to be alone with my thoughts right now anyhow…there will be plenty of time for that later. So I may just forge ahead with some of our weekend plans. Later this afternoon I’m going to treat myself to the much-anticipated Bubba Ho-tep. The antics of Bruce Campbell should provide a delightful distraction. Tomorrow is family day at the Walker Art Center, with another impressive line-up scheduled. Theater Mu will be staging a Korean Mask Dance performance, and on the big screen they will be showing animated shorts from Iran. Tomorrow is also the 30th birthday of one of our close friends (you are old, btw) and Sunday hails the husband’s ten-year vegan anniversary. We may not feel like celebrating quite so much, but I’m sure we’ll do something to mark the occasion. And finally, on Monday They Might Be Giants will be playing an in-store at Wild Rumpus. It’s a fairly large bookstore, but I have a feeling that it will be one packed performance.
