Something’s been brought to mind that I hadn’t thought of in years. Churros. Specifically, churros from that little food stand…at the rollerskating rink I used to frequent in grade school and junior high. Afrojet will have to get the credit for this one. In a recent post he made mention of “the poor man’s Pier 1″, aka World Market. I’d not heard of this chain, but found myself near one earlier in the week…when I took the little man to his favorite indoor playground in the burbs. This year’s holiday shopping budget is less than half of what it’s been in recent years, but I found myself able to get lots of nice little gifts there for not much money. I somehow included myself on the list, though. Turns out the place is chock full of vegan-friendly foods that I haven’t seen anywhere else. One such indulgence, the Sweet Cinnamony French Twists from Barry’s Bakery. Very much like the churros from snowballs past.
