Like many others, I will now resume my “usual flow of frivolous links and commentary” - because that’s what I do. So. To start with. I nearly wet myself when I saw this Gamagon Kaiju Beast, and these others, by Tim Biskup…and others. But I really can’t drop $55+ on a toy just now, especially for myself…beautiful though it may be.
And with the little man’s birthday right around the corner. But I did splurge on the more practical/functional Kaiju Beast t-shirt (and I was tempted by many others from Gama-Go (hopefully that list bit will be missed by the husband, who only skims my posts anyhow). Speaking of the little man’s upcoming birthday…he has been light saber obsessed as of late, so I would consider getting him this, but he’d probably be disappointed that it doesn’t actually, you know, light up. Or make sounds. Or do, well, anything at all. That and I don’t have an extra $60,000-$80,000 laying around.
Bonus: The weekend after next is the world-renowned San Diego Comic Con. A delegation from the rather newly formed E-Ville press (comprised of artists from Pixar) will be in attendance. Neat.
Plus: Been meaning to post this for days…but LaLaland has decided to call it quits after a good run of 33 themes in 33 months. I totally understand, even if I’m a bit bummed…but I have to say it was one of the first collaborative web projects I got hooked on (and regularly contributed to) and a favorite. So thank you LaLa, for all your hard work, and for never jumping the shark.
And: After some googling, I’m still trying to figure out what this Kaiju Big Battel business is all about…
