Hey, let’s move on to the happy happy! And kick that off with some top-notch geekery.
- Neil Gaiman and Dave McKean are doing a reading at the Walker on January 11th. Squeeee! Oh hey, that’s this Thursday already.
- CES started today. techfresh is on top of things.
- Also starting today, MacWorld. I’m particularly curious about the Apple iPhone.
- Arcade Fire are finally following up 2004’s Funeral with Neon Bible.
- A friend loaned me season one of Arrested Development, but I still need to watch series two of Black Books before I delve into it.
Ah. It feels good to get back to my regularly scheduled nerdy-grrrl programming.

Hadn’t heard that bit about the Arcade Fire. Yay! With iTV and a Mac phone rumored tomorrow, I’m not sure my bank account can handle MacWorld at the moment.
Man, Black Books is a fabulous show.
Huh, thanks to your link, I am now aware of a third season.
Hot Dodge!
I kind of wish that british comedies had longer seasons, but I suppose the small number of episodes makes each more memorable.
Also: Congratulations on the little man’s sleepover.
(My son finally decided to make a foray into, er, personal hygene for the first time today.)
(later, he complained of “poop crumbs.”)
Ha! That is funny about your son. How old?
And yeah, I could totally do with more episodes of Spaced (Simon Pegg, *swoon*)…but BBC shows never last long enough to jump the shark at least.
And Joe, tell me about it. No new toys for me for a very long time. I’ll just have to live vicariously through other gadget geeks. Sigh.
I’m beginning to think we were separated at birth :-)
Those boots are cute!
Thanks Kim!
And that’s funny Eve. Btw, the Gaiman/Mckean thing was a blast. I’ve seen Neil before, but McKean was surprisingly hilarious. Especially his Batman-hating, which I found simultaneously offensive and amusing.
