weapons of massdistraction

I have an actual post in the works, but am currently lacking the brain capacity/free time to finish those thoughts. So a little more filler for now. But we’ll spend some quality time together. Soon. I promise.

• This came up at work recently, before a lunch run. The official rules of calling shotgun.
• A local photographer who is into kite/aerial photography took some great shots at the Art Shanties. Which were then boing boinged. My son and I particularly enjoyed hanging out in those Dicehouses. Didn’t realize they have their own blog.
• More crazy Minnesotans out in the cold. The Polar Bear Plunge is slated for this Saturday, in my home town of White Bear Lake. But I’ll be busy keeping warm, indoors, at the cat show.
• My girl Sheela (the cupcake lady behind Miel y Leche Catering) is getting some more much-deserved attention. This time from the Minnesota Monthly. But because of it her cupcakes sold out lickety split last Saturday, at Mitrebox in Minneapolis. This coming Saturday they will have a greater quantity on hand. Supply to meet demand.
• Some lovely friends are taking the little man to see Hotel for Dogs, so I don’t have to. Not even my darling Don Cheadle could make me endure it.
