These ongoing illnesses have been frustrating. And OH SO BORING. To bring up or to hear about but dammit all, they are affecting my quality of life (and the quality of my friends’ lives who have also been ill). I’m currently all bundled up in the Lady Cave at home, attempting to get some work done while inhaling vapors and sucking down hot tea.
Five good things when lots of other things suck:
- A favorite local artist, Amy Rice, has a new show opening at SooVAC this week - Don’t Worry, I Have a Map
- Forever blowing bubbles: Stunning underwater shots captured by world’s top female cave diver and her team
- Terribly amusing - Awful Library Books
- A visit to Twin Cities Magic & Costume yesterday was sort of a warm up for this weekend’s FallCon. Can’t believe I left my camera in the car! But I did snap a few photos with the iPhone, like the one below.
- I would love to have my very own GIGANTA in the backyard. Some more playgrounds from the 70s. Oh, the memories.
Speaking of, there are some quality shows coming up that really flip the nostalgia switch. Yo La Tengo tomorrow night (really doubt I’ll make it) and Murder City Devils in the main room Sunday night. Hoping to be there, and to crossover to the 7th Street Entry to catch some of Red Pens, Teenage Moods, and The Bombay Sweets.

There actually is a metal rocket/with scary metal slide, very similar to the one on that site…located in Central Park in Roseville. It’s on the West end of the park, if you enter off of Lexington Ave. I love the crazy space one that is all concrete!
