This morning I decided that These New Puritans would provide the soundtrack to my day. This was a good plan. It’s been a decidedly good day, breezing by at a good clip.
Five or so other good things:
- Steampunks ahoy! I’d admired Dan Hillier’s artwork in the past but he’s teamed up with an animator to make the most amazing music video. So many tentacles!
- Spotted that last night and then poked around at the demo version of this Machinarium game. Wouldn’t mind playing the full-blown version.
- The stuff of dreams…I’d still love to get to Nantes, France to see the crazy giant puppets. And hey, look, closer to home Emily is making her own animations now.
- As it’s Tuesday…Kate Beaton pointed out her own Lost comics, #1, #2, and #3. Then there are grickle’s Foggy memories of Lost set one and set two, nedroid’s #1, #2 and #3 and last but not least, Scott C’s Lost showdown.
- In the totally random category. Nimoy Sunset Pie. What?
Progress was made today in the battle against the paper-pushing bureaucracy. Sometimes being persistent while advocating for my son really does pay off! More news to come on that front.

congratulations on DECIMATING RED TAPE. even if it’s only a little bit, every little bit counts.
Nimoy Sunset Pie is genius. maybe moreso than the tom selleck one.
Thanks! Now I just have to figure out which one of these schools really will be the best fit for the kiddo. Everyone’s rooting for the school with the planetarium, because, c’mon, that is really freaking cool, but we need a little more than that…
