With Thursday’s five good things I attempt to stay particularly true to the post title:
- In case you haven’t seen these commercials yet - Never say “No” to Panda - so very well done.
- Listening to the new Swans record, My Father Will Guide Me Up A Rope To The Sky, is getting me excited for next month’s show in Chicago. But it is NOT a reunion. Swans really are creating something new instead of just rehashing the old (as great as old Swans was). Definitely worth listening to.
- Ca-Gno-Topus!? That combination and so many more. Clockwork is building a fun new app called Slydology. Details to come.
- When the weather is all cold and dreary I start window-shopping for new recipes (never mind that my fridge is full of leftovers that need to be eaten). A friend who is doing the same posted this tasty looking Umbrian Vegetable Soup recipe. Yum. Speaking of vegetables….Montana woman fends off bear attack with zucchini!
- “Eau la la! Parisians get free fizzy water from a park fountain - French capital gets first public fountain dispensing carbonated water in attempt to wean public off bottles.” Fantastique!
This morning I just barely got the kid to school on time - and had to get too snippy with him just to get him out the door (I vow to get us up earlier and exude more patience tomorrow morning). So after dropping him off I realized I’d forgotten some things I needed for my day. I doubled back to the house for allergy meds, my wallet and a yoga mat. But I don’t feel like doubling back to the office after school, in this downpour, so yoga may not happen for me today anyhow. Instead there may be napping. With cats. A common theme as of late.
